About
Taegwoo (Terry) Kim is a Los Angeles-based composer born in Korea, raised in South Africa. He is currently part of Bear McCreary’s music tech team at Sparks & Shadows.
He has worked with Joseph Trapanese on Netflix’s The Witcher (Season 3), and his music can be heard on FOX’s Extracted, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, RNG Forge’s K3LVN, various indie films including Minnestass and Portraits of a Smile, as well as private commissions. He graduated from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in 2023 on two scholarships.
Obsessed with fantasy and sci fi, Terry is driven to give voice to the imagined. He strives to always give stories an unforgettable melody and has a passion for massive orchestral writing. From soloists to choir and chant, the human voice and traditional instruments are at the heart of his sound.
